Masai’s near Namanga, Kenya The Masai people are a nomadic tribe that live in the hot and arid regions of Kenya and near the Tanzanian border. They are well known for their distinctive dress and their manyattas, or villages, which are typically made up of circular huts with conical roofs. The Masai are polygamous, and most men have more than one wife. They are also cattle herders, and often walk many miles to find suitable pastures for their animals.
