Point Lenana on Mount Kenya

The most commonly climbed peak on Mount Kenya is Point Lenana, standing at 4,985 meters. Unlike Batian and Nelion, reaching Point Lenana does not require technical climbing, making it a more accessible option for many hikers.

Mount Kenya itself is an ancient stratovolcano that has undergone significant erosion over millions of years.

The current peaks of Mount Kenya, such as Batian, Nelion, and Point Lenana, are actually the remnants of the central plug of the volcano, which solidified within the volcanic vent.
