The peak of Mt. Longonot
Here we are, descending from the summit of Longonot’s Kilele Ngamia (The Camel’s Hump) on a sunny Tuesday afternoon. The near-perfect crater, blanketed in lush vegetation, stretches out before us. After rainfall, steam vents from fissures in the mountainside, a captivating reminder of Longonot’s volcanic origins. Located within the Great Rift Valley, the mountain’s proximity to the Earth’s magma chamber means that water seeping deep into the soil is heated, creating the mesmerizing steam plumes you can observe in the rainy season.

A very poor fisherman in a small Falucca, the sail stitched together of black plastic bags and the boat itself also looks like it’s been stitched together of discarded timber. These tiny boats venture out beyond the reef although they are not seaworthy.

Two ostrich’s fighting
On the grass plains in Meru National Park two ostrich’s where fighting. The fight included extremely fast running and occasionally collision and snapping. The ostrich is a powerful animal and as human it is not recommended to approach it.
