Magadi, a journey through an eerie and dramatic landscape
The drive to Lake Magadi is a journey through an eerie and dramatic landscape that feels truly otherworldly. Volcanic formations rise from dry plains, sparsely covered by hardy acacia trees and scrub. Vast scars etched into the earth by prehistoric volcanic activity and erosion mark the paths where water once flowed towards the lake. If you haven’t ventured into this unique corner of Kenya, it’s well worth the trip.
