Colobus Monkey the gentleman of the forest
The Colobus monkeys of Diani Beach, Kenya are known for their gentle and peaceful nature. Unlike the opportunistic Sykes monkeys, Colobus monkeys are herbivores, content to feast on leaves, fruits, flowers, and twigs. They live in large family groups, fostering a strong sense of community. These monkeys are easily recognizable by their striking black and white coats and long, flowing hair – a stark contrast to the pure white fur of newborn Colobus monkeys. The accompanying images capture these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat along the coastal forests of Diani Beach.
