Optimal living conditions for Egrets are in the waters between the mangrove roots that sticks out of the water. Those swampy waters are normally brimming with small critters and fish. Ideal hunting grounds.
A heron stands poised on the breakwaters, its silhouette stark against the backdrop of crashing waves. White foam and spray dance in the air as waves crash against the coral, creating the familiar of sound of the sea. The heron, a patient hunter, scans the tide pools for small crabs and fish seeking refuge in the coral’s crevices. The scene is a image of the smooth white sand, seaweed, the jagged coral, and the blue of the ocean.
Diving on the beautiful marine park outside of the costal town of Shimoni
t’s always a pleasure to stroll through small Kenyan towns and do some street photography. Some people are happy to pose for a shot, and I usually enjoy a bit of chit-chat with them while buying some of their produce or goods. This portrait captures a street vendor in Msambweni town—an atmospheric late-evening scene of him selling roasted corn cobs by the curb along the Ukunda–Ramisi road.
Small ghost crab only a few inches away from it's home in the intertidal zone on the beach. These crabs are scavengers cleaning up all eatable items on the beach. The pale colors and patterns are perfectly matching the beach sand making it harder for birds to snatch them.

Beautiful Kingfish caught Indian Ocean Watamu on a cool October day in the fishing season.
The fishing season has just started here in October and I managed to get out in good weather on early Monday morning the 24th October. Lucky day with a few Kingfish, one Sailfish and one large Black Marlin. The Marlin was caught on a 30 pound line and it took around an hour to reel it in due to the thin line.
